Welcome to Second Soie. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of our website, products, services, and online store. By visiting our website or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please read them carefully before placing an order.

1. About Second Soie

Second Soie creates limited-edition and one-of-one pieces thoughtfully reimagined from authentic vintage and designer scarf materials. Each item is handmade or finished by hand, which means natural variations, placement differences, vintage character, and subtle imperfections may exist and are part of the uniqueness of the piece.

Unless otherwise stated, Second Soie is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to any designer brand, fashion house, or trademark owner whose name, scarf, print, or material may be referenced. Any designer names or marks are used solely to identify the original source of the scarf or material incorporated into the finished piece.

2. Use of Our Website

By using this site, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you have permission from a parent or guardian to use this site.

You agree not to use our website or products for any unlawful purpose, to violate any applicable laws, to infringe upon our intellectual property rights or the rights of others, or to interfere with the security or operation of the site.

We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or restrict access to the site at our discretion.

3. Product Descriptions and Availability

We make every effort to describe and photograph our products as accurately as possible. However, due to the handmade nature of our pieces, vintage materials, screen settings, lighting, and individual device displays, colors, textures, dimensions, and details may appear slightly different in person.

Many Second Soie pieces are one-of-one or made in extremely limited quantities. Placing an item in your cart does not reserve it. An item is not secured until checkout is complete and payment has been processed.

We reserve the right to limit quantities, discontinue products, update descriptions, or correct errors at any time without prior notice.

4. Vintage and Reimagined Materials

Second Soie pieces may be made using authentic vintage, pre-owned, or designer scarf materials. These materials may show signs of age, soft fading, minor marks, variation in texture, or other natural characteristics consistent with their prior life.

Because each item is handmade and reimagined from vintage or pre-existing materials, slight variations, signs of age, and unique character are part of the piece and are not considered defects.

By purchasing, you acknowledge that each item is unique and may not be identical to any prior piece, photo, or future release.

5. Orders and Payment

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. Payment is due at checkout.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order for reasons including, but not limited to, suspected fraud, inaccurate pricing, inventory errors, payment issues, or misuse of promotions.

If your order is canceled by Second Soie after payment has been processed, we will issue a refund to the original payment method.

6. Pricing, Promotions, and Errors

We may update pricing, promotions, product availability, and shipping fees at any time. Promotional codes must be entered at checkout and cannot be applied retroactively unless we choose to make an exception.

In the event of a pricing error, product description error, or technical issue, we reserve the right to cancel or adjust the order and notify you.

7. Shipping

We process and ship orders within the timeframe stated on the product page, checkout page, or shipping policy.

Once an order has been handed to the shipping carrier, Second Soie is not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, weather, customs, incorrect addresses, failed delivery attempts, or other circumstances outside our control.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout. If a package is returned due to an incorrect address or failed delivery attempt, the customer may be responsible for additional shipping fees.

Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

8. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Packages

Second Soie is not responsible for packages marked as delivered by the carrier but missing, stolen, or misplaced after delivery. We recommend shipping to a secure address.

If your package or item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the packaging and item so we can review the issue and make it right.

We will do our best to assist with carrier claims where appropriate.

9. Returns, Exchanges, and Store Credit

Each Second Soie piece is one-of-one, handmade, and reimagined using authentic vintage or designer scarves. Because every piece is unique and cannot be restocked in multiple sizes or quantities, all sales are final and we do not offer refunds.

We want you to feel confident in your purchase, so we do offer exchanges or store credit within 7 days of delivery if the item is approved for return.

To be eligible for an exchange or store credit, the item must be:

Unworn
Unused
Unwashed
Free of perfume, makeup, pet hair, stains, or damage
Returned in its original condition

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Once the item is received and inspected, approved exchanges or store credit will be issued.

Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

Because each item is handmade and reimagined from vintage or pre-existing materials, slight variations, signs of age, minor imperfections, and unique character are not considered defects.

Please review all photos, sizing details, measurements, and descriptions carefully before purchasing. For any questions about fit, measurements, styling, or condition, please reach out before placing your order.

10. Defects or Issues With Your Order

If your item arrives damaged, incorrect, or there is an issue with your order, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos.

We will review the issue and determine the appropriate resolution. Approved resolutions may include repair, replacement where possible, exchange, store credit, or another solution at Second Soie’s discretion.

Items damaged through wear, washing, misuse, improper care, alteration, or storage are not considered defective.

11. Cancellations

Orders may be canceled within 12 hours of purchase as long as the item has not yet shipped.

Once an order has shipped, it cannot be canceled.

Because many Second Soie pieces are one-of-one, handmade, or limited edition, we reserve the right to decline cancellation requests submitted after the 12-hour window or after fulfillment has begun.

12. Custom, Made-to-Order, and Personalized Items

Custom, made-to-order, altered, or personalized pieces are final sale and cannot be canceled, returned, exchanged, or refunded once production has begun.

Any timelines provided for custom work are estimates and may vary depending on material sourcing, production schedule, or design complexity.

13. Product Care

Second Soie pieces should be handled with care. Vintage scarf materials, silk, delicate textiles, embellishments, denim, and handmade finishes may require special care.

Care instructions may vary by item. Unless otherwise stated, we recommend gentle handling, spot cleaning when appropriate, and avoiding harsh detergents, high heat, excessive moisture, and machine drying.

Second Soie is not responsible for damage caused by improper care, cleaning, storage, or wear.

14. Intellectual Property

All content on this site, including product photography, copy, branding, logos, designs, graphics, layouts, and original Second Soie concepts, is owned by or licensed to Second Soie and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, or used without written permission.

You may not use our name, images, product descriptions, or branding in a way that suggests affiliation, endorsement, resale authorization, or partnership without our written consent.

15. User Content, Reviews, and Social Media

If you tag Second Soie, submit a review, send photos, or share content featuring our products, you grant us permission to repost, share, or use that content for marketing, social media, website, and promotional purposes, unless you request otherwise in writing.

We reserve the right to remove or not publish content that is offensive, misleading, unlawful, or inconsistent with our brand.

16. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may use third-party platforms, payment processors, shipping carriers, apps, analytics tools, or links to other websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, policies, or services of third parties.

Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and policies.

17. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our products and website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except as required by law.

We do not guarantee that our website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Second Soie shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from your use of our website, products, or services.

Our total liability for any claim related to a product or order shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific item giving rise to the claim.

19. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Second Soie, its owner, team members, affiliates, partners, and service providers from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your misuse of the website, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.
